Ever want to snap a quick, cute photo of your brand new kiddos on the first day of school?
Want to make it easy and something you can do during the few random minutes you encounter throughout your first day? Then I’ve got the thing for you.
Whether you want to take a photo of each student for their portfolio, for parents or just to use in your classroom – these printable first day of school photo prop signs make it simple.
How it works
Print the first-day sign(s) and have them somewhere handy during the first day and stash a class list and pen with them.
Then when you have a few minutes in between activities, or in my case, when the students are having play time (because they get that the first two weeks of school) call a child over and hand them the sign.
Snap your photo and call the next kiddo over. Cross off kiddos from your class list to keep track.
Easy and done.
You can always slip the sign into a dollar store photo frame or glue it onto a piece of foam board to make it sturdy, but that’s completely optional.

What else you’ll love
If you teach any grade level between preschool and sixth grade – I’ve got your back. Simply pick your grade level and print the matching first day sign(s).
There are three ages for each grade level. So when you have a kindergartener who is 5 and one who is 6, they each have the matching sign, and their photos instantly feel so much more personalized. How perfect is that?
You’ll also love that there are two background options – one chalkboard style and one that has no color to go easy on your printer’s ink cartridge. Both turn out super cute.
